Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (2024)

84% Tomatometer 38 Reviews 39% Audience Score 500+ Ratings Oscar and Emmy winner Kevin Costner is the marquee attraction of the ensemble cast in this drama series, starring as the patriarch of a powerful, complicated family of ranchers. A sixth-generation homesteader and devoted father, John Dutton controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He operates in a corrupt world where politicians are compromised by influential oil and lumber corporations and land grabs make developers billions. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect, Dutton's property is in constant conflict with those it borders -- an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park. Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Lauren Michele Jackson New Yorker The showrunner Taylor Sheridan has been given wide latitude to iterate on the world of the Dutton ranching family, but he’s best when honoring his Western’s melodramatic core. Feb 10, 2023 Full Review Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Nick Schager The Daily Beast Increasingly, its opposition to forward movement isn’t just a cultural and political stance, but a narrative one as well. Jan 30, 2023 Full Review Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Elamin Abdelmahmoud BuzzFeed News It may not be television’s best show, but with its willingness to play with the existential crises over land, identity, and power, there’s little doubt it’s America’s most important drama right now. Nov 30, 2022 Full Review Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Kristi Turnquist Oregonian If the Season 5 premiere of Yellowstone doesn’t exactly soar, it does serve up Dallas-style drama, juicy performances (particularly by Reilly) and gorgeous scenery. Nov 30, 2022 Full Review Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Fred Schruers AARP Movies for Grownups Self-reliance and refusal to capitulate are deeply imbued in the American grain, and never more intensely than right now. Yellowstone’s new season captures that feeling -- that’s why it’s riding higher than ever. Nov 29, 2022 Full Review Yellowstone: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Alex Maidy JoBlo's Movie Network No fans will be disappointed by this premiere as Taylor Sheridan’s family drama continues to deserve to be one of the most popular series on television. Tony P This show does absolutely nothing for me and will always be meh! Rated 2.5/5 Stars • Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/16/24 Full Review Sebastian S Prob one of the best series i have watched so far, relly good! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/12/24 Full Review Ives d Melhor série da atualidade Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/14/24 Full Review Derek C I had rated Seasons 1 through 4 as 4.5 stars. I thought Season 5 stepped back just a bit. They did slow down on the realistic killings. It does pick up in the last couple of episodes. Unlike a lot of streaming TV shows, this one did not fall off significantly after three or four seasons. Love the sweeping panoramic shots that were new to this season. Montana is just gorgeous country! Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Jack R Very sad, that this is the last season! Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/24 Full Review feb f The season comes across as pretty lame. Pics of the landscape are nice, but underlined by lengthy country songs is boring.Plus a Costner who seemingly is not interested in acting.Best actor/ess throughout is Beth = Kelly Reilly Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Read all reviews
