What is the Most Powerful Prayer for Protection

Psalm 91 is the most powerful prayer to pray for protection. This prayer can be prayed at any time of the day. I start my prayer time with Psalm 91. I pray this prayer over my home, over my husband, over my children/grandchildren, over my families, over my church, over my property, over my pet, over everything I own. To ensure my home is a safe and protected, for me and my family, I pray Psalms 91 over it. Psalm 91 covers almost every area of protection that we need in life.

God promises us protection throughout the Bible, but there is one place where you can find one prayer with all the power there is, and that’s in Psalm 91. Psalm 91 is God’s covenant for divine protection. It covers every danger—sickness, disease, assault, crime, tornadoes, fire and any other threat to your safety and well-being.

God is always working on our behalf. His Word is always working. The Bible say that the Word of God is quick, powerful, energizing, shaper than any two-edge sword.

The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Every word you pray in Psalm 91 is powerful. Prayer is powerful, and our Father in heaven hears, and answers, us. The words of Psalm 91 guide us in prayer for God’s protection and refuge from all the thing’s life throws at us.

You remember the story of Job. The Book of Job speaks of a “hedge” of protection conferred by God upon one’s person and possessions. Job 1:10 (AMP) says: “Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has on every side?”

Therefore, we can ask the Lord on a regular basis to put a hedge of protection around us, our loved ones, and all that belongs to us.

In Zechariah 2:5 (NASB), God says that He “will be a wall of fire around her.” So, I often ask the Lord to be a wall of fire around all those I care about, as well as around myself. Whatever problem you have, there’s an answer for it in the word of God. God is faithful.

I like the way the New Living Translation says, “His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” We can ask and expect the Lord to “cover” us with Himself, and we can pray and claim His proven promises for our protection, and that of our loved ones.

This psalm goes on to say, “For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways.” (Psalm 91:11 AMP) Put this verse in prayer in your heart and experience the power and faithfulness of God for yourself.

If you have children and grandchildren, I encourage you to pray and stand on Psalm 91. The Lord reveals to us, that He not only wants to protect us, but He also wants us to devote ourselves to His Word–believing it, studying it, speaking it, and doing it. Living according to God’s Word enables us to abide under the shadows of the Almighty.

In Psalm 91,” Here, the Lord reveals that He not only wants to protect us, but He also wants us to devote ourselves to His Word–believing it, studying it, speaking it, and doing it. Living according to God’s Word enables us to stay beneath His “umbrella” of protection, safe within His divine boundaries.

What Does the 91st Psalm Mean

The 91st Psalm means to you have a shelter you can run to. Whatever the enemy tries to throw at you, this prayer will cut it off.

We are living in perilous times, where everything is unexpected. Psalm 91 is a prayer where the righteous run into it and are safe. As the times of trouble are upon us, the prayer of Psalm 91 is comforting and effective when prayed from the heart by those who love God and are in relationship with Him.

Psalm 91 may be the most important passage of scripture for the days ahead. The reality of supernatural protection is paramount for the times of supernatural events on the horizon. Faith is not a last resort, but a first response! Meditate on Psalm 91. God is all powerful. Every Word that he speaks are powerful. That’s why Psalm 91 is a powerful prayer to pray over anyone, and anything. There are various powerful verses in Psalms.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

Psalm 91 begins with the benefits we have as born-again believers in the secret place. A place to rest in the storm. It talks about a relationship with Christ Jesus. And who qualify to abide under the shadow of the Almighty. How do you know if you qualify? If you are a saved, a born-again child of God, then this applies to you.

The next verse is making a declaration. Declaring that God is my refuge and my fortress. He is the Almighty God of my home.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

This verse is declaring that God is my refuge and my fortress. He is the Almighty God of my home.

Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.

The enemy is very crafty. The snare of the fowler are traps that are set up to harm you. Traps the enemy uses to atop and hinder your destiny. They can be physical traps, financial traps, but also things the enemy puts in your way to trip you and keep you from reaching your potential in God. God will deliver you from every trap of the enemy.

He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

God hides, shields, and covers u with His feathers, and under the shadow of His wings we can take refuge. when we believe His Word so that they enemy can’t ee

This is why His truth is our shield and buckler. His truth is our effective defensive armor which deflects those fiery darts and prevents them from wounding us (Eph 6:16); Paul calls His truth “the shield of faith,” because truth must bebelievedin order to defend). And His truth is found in His word …. do we know what His word says for ourselves, from Genesis to Revelation? Read it and believe it!

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.

Vs. 5 tells us we won’t be afraid of the terrors, arrows, and pestilences.Itdoesn’tsay that these things will not come to us, or that we will not be affected by them. It simply promises we won’t be afraid of them… why?Because we trust the Living God, and His Word.

You also don’t have to be afraid of attacks during the day, your property and things are protected too, and you are also safe from accidents.

A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look And see the reward of the wicked.

The Bible in2 Timothy talks about perilous times ahead, but not for the believers. No matter how tough times are nothing can ever separate you from His love, and that He will be with us each step of the way through the tough times.

Did you know that you are also protected from calamities and weather as well? Jesus knew the power He had from the Father and was able to calm the storm, andwe can use this same power.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;

One of the conditions of God’s protection is that you believe that He will. You must havefaith that God’s promises are true.And no matter how things look like; it will turn out for your good.

Sometimes you have to stand looking at the storm coming towards you and know that it will not hurt you, even though everyone else says it will. You have to trust first and then see the miracle.

So shall they fear the name of theLordfrom the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of theLordshall lift up a standard against him. (Isaiah 59:19. (KJV)

For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

When you make Jesus your Lord, there’s a benefit package that comes with salvation. God has given His angels charge over you to protect you. When you choose to make God your life, God charges His angels to watch over you and surround you with His divine protection. Sometimes we need to see things, and then we understand and believe them, but other times, we can understand even without seeing.

It is easier to believe in God when we see Him in action. When we do not see Him, doubt may creep in as you wonder if God is even around or that He even cares, and God’s angels? We may even doubt that level of protection, too. Maybe this is not meant for us?

This verse 11 says, “For He will give His angels charge concerning you!” What does that mean? If angels are taking charge of the things that concern us, God has given the angels,not the circ*mstances,the authority to act on our behalf. That same truth is repeated in Hebrews.

Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? –Hebrews 1:14

“Because he[a]loves me,” says theLord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him. With long lifeI will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

When we know God, we can call on Him, and he will answer us. The last promise of protection is that we will have a satisfying,long life. You don’t have to be afraid of dying young. God wants you to live long and strong.

When we look to God as the Source ofourprotection and provision, the angels are constantlyrendering us aidandtaking chargeof our affairs. Psalm 103:20 says, “His angels mighty in strength… obey the voice of His Word.” As we proclaim God’s Word, the angels hasten to carry it out.

God promised that you will not go through the challenges of life alone. The Lord affirmed to Joshua that He would be with him (Josh. 1:9). David wrote that God, the Good Shepherd, would be with him in the “valley of the shadow of death” (Ps. 23:4).

God assured Israel that He had chosen them and that He would be with them (Is. 41:10; 43:2). The Spirit of God is with believers forever (John 14:16).

Christ is with us as we go forth to fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:20). God will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). The result of knowing that God is with you is that you will not fear. What Love? Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13-17) KJV)

Take comfort and know, that God is God. As believers, everything we need is in the Name of Jesus. And when you pray Psalm 91 in that name, over yourself, over your loved one, over your children/grandchildren, family, and friends. No this, ALL IS WELL!! IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

Is Psalm 91 a Protection Prayer

Yes! Psalm 91proclaims security and victory for God’s people. Psalm 91“speaks of God’s presence, power, and protection against fear,”Heather Rigglemanexplains, “Fear is one emotion God doesn’t want to overtake us; because when we fear, it reveals in our hearts how we are relying on our own efforts and not trusting our Savior.”

The Moody Bible Commentary explains, “Psalm 91encourages the readers to find their refuge in God when they have not yet experienced the fulfillment of all God’s promises.”

What do we do when the chaos of this world traps us in a corner? Do we give up, cave in, and quick? Or do we stop, and quietly put our Lord, who commands an army of angels on our behalf?

Paul was shipwrecked, beaten and jailed. He prayed for God to remove a thorn in his life. Yet, he proclaimed in his letter to the Corinthian church what the Lord said to him:

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”(2 Corinthians 12:9). We are eternally secure in the arms of our Father through the salvation we receive in Jesus Christ.

Psalm 91reminds us to trust in God, not the things of this world which are unreliable, and inevitably pass away. The VOICE paraphrase ofPsalm 91:14-16reads:

“Because he clings to Me in love, I will rescue him from harm; I will set him above danger. Because he has known Me by name, He will call on Me, and I will answer. I’ll be with him through hard times; I’ll rescue him and grant him honor. I’ll reward him with many good years on this earth and let him witness My salvation.”

God cares about each of us individually. Sometimes, we get caught up in the calamity of this world and forget the care God took in creating each of us. We all have a unique purpose, and the love of our Father in Heaven. He knows the pages of our hearts better than we do. Our lives are an opened book. When we seek Him in Scripture as we have inPsalm 91, we are promised to find Him.

How Do You Pray the 91st Psalm

This is how I pray Psalm 91, during the day, night, and quite time.

Father, In the Name of Jesus,
I live in the shelter of the Most High, and I will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him.
He will rescue me from every trap and protect me from deadly disease. He will cover me with His feathers and shelter me with His wings. His faithful promises are my armor and protection.
I am not afraid of the terrors of the night or the dangers of the day. I am not afraid of the disease that stalks in darkness or the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand may fall at my side or 10,000 die around me, these evils will not touch me.
I make the Lord my refuge. The Most High is my shelter. That’s why no evil will conquer me, and no plague will come near my home.
His angels are protecting me. Because I trust in His Name, He rescues me and protects me. When I call on Him, He answers me and delivers me. He is always with me in trouble to rescue me.
He gives me long life! In Jesus Name! Amen
