Joe Mixon, RB, Houston Texans: Mixon rushed for more than 1,000 yards with the Bengals last season but it took him 257 carries to do so, the fifth-most in the NFL. He averaged just 4.0 yards per carry last year with the Bengals before being released this offseason, primarily for cap space reasons. But Mixon turned 28 years old this summer and although there's the allure of him joining an elite offense like Houston, what if the Texans are so pass-heavy with C.J. Stroud and receivers like Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank Dell that Mixon is underutilized in the offense?
"Devin Singletary finished 38th in PPG for the Texans last year, and what if Mixon plays at a similar level as he closes in on 2,000 career touches?" White told SportsLine. "Dameon Pierce was wildly disappointing last year, but there's a chance he can work himself back into the mix if Mixon is struggling."
Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley goes from being the man in New York to another weapon in a deep Eagles offense. Some pros and cons that come with that, a pro being defenses can't totally focus their gameplan around stopping Barkley. But a con is usage is how you produce in Fantasy football and if the Eagles are throwing more to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, that means fewer targets for Barkley. Plus with the success of the Tush Push with Jalen Hurts at the goal line, Barkley's touchdown opportunities could decrease as well. Barkley had 41 receptions and 10 total touchdowns to boost himself into a top-10 Fantasy football RB last season.
"He only needs to be 11th or worse to qualify as a bust for us, and there's a real chance he could siphon touchdowns to Jalen Hurts, who had 15 of the team's 22 rushing touchdowns last year," White told SportsLine.
